We are delighted to finally announce that the 6th „Long Night of the Sciences" will take place in Jena on 24 November 2017! Make a note in your diary of the Friday evening event, which will bring the subject of science to the people like no other. The Friedrich Schiller University Jena and the Jena University Hospital, the Ernst-Abbe-Hochschule Jena (Jena University of Applied Sciences), the Beutenberg-Campus with its many institutes and scientific and research institutions and the Jena commercial enterprises which are closely involved in research, most notably Carl Zeiss in Jena, Jenoptik AG and Schott in Jena, will once again showcase themselves up-close and personal to the public.

Light is the symbol of the city of Jena and also symbolises science and technology. In keeping with the topic of light a lantern parade for people of all ages who are eager to acquire knowledge will take place in Lobeda on the evening of 24 November 2017.
