What influence does the air pressure in Australia have on the weather in Peru? Is there a causal relationship between heavy rainfall in South Asia and heat or drought in Europe?
How can we answer these and similar questions and find complex cause-and-effect relationships in data? In our presentation, we will explain the methodological principles. We will also discuss algorithms to recognize these correlations.
DLR is the national aerospace research center of the Federal Republic of Germany. Its extensive research and development work in aeronautics, space, energy, transportation and security is integrated into national and international collaborations.
At the DLR Institute of Data Science in Jena, we focus on the entire life cycle of data, starting with the acquisition and collection of high-quality data, its efficient and sustainable management and its subsequent analysis to extract the most relevant information.
BY THE WAY: Feel free to bring your children! The DLR_School_Lab offers exciting space and data science experiments in parallel. Among other things, they can discover their fascination for STEM topics at the Mars Rover Station, while examining meteorites or with our 3D printer.
