The heart is the engine of life - we show you how you can keep it running and how we can help you to do so.

As the engine of life, the heart supplies all organs of the human body with vital oxygen and nutrients via the blood vessels. Diseases of this complicated cardiovascular system are among the main causes of death in the western world and are therefore responsible for significantly more deaths than cancer. Prevention, early detection and fast and competent treatment are of crucial importance for the survival of those affected.

We would like to give you an insight into the everyday life of cardiovascular physicians ("cardiologists") and introduce you to our main areas of activity, both in the clinic and in research. Among other things, you will see pacemakers, defibrillators, vascular supports for the coronary arteries, but also the pelvic and leg vessels as well as catheter-supported implantable heart valve prostheses. We look forward to introducing you to our diverse range of work!
