The next Long Night of Science Jena will take place on 22.11.2024.
You can now find all information about the program, tickets and the opening of this year's Long Night of Science here.
On November 22, 2024, all young and old night owls can finally look over the shoulders of the numerous Jena scientists again and ask their questions about research. Advance ticket sales have been running since 16.10.2024.
Program booklet 2024
For all those who prefer analog, the program booklet for the 9th Long Night of Sciences Jena was available free of charge from 16.10.2024 at the Jena Tourist Information and in the Uni-Shop of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. Interested parties can also find the brochure at several other locations in Jena. In addition to a clear presentation of the events on offer at the Jena Science Night, the booklet offers the opportunity to mark your favorite events and thus create a personal route through the night. It also contains city and area maps as well as general information on prices, ticket sales and local transport - just like on the website.
Göschwitz Special
Stamp rally in Göschwitz
The 2024 new area had something very special to offer: Visitors were to discover the variety of laboratories, workshops, products or lectures offered by Jena companies in Göschwitz. If they collected a stamp from as many of the participating companies as possible (at least five), they received a gift as a thank you at the end of the tour: a chocolate Advent calendar with a chic Jena motif. It wasn't just the little ones who were delighted!
Review 2022
The beginnings
The Long Night of Science has been held in Jena since 2005. Since then, numerous scientific institutions and institutes, companies and clinics have opened their doors for a long evening every two years (with minor exceptions) and show guests what would otherwise remain hidden - in a varied and public-oriented way. This makes science tangible, exciting and interesting. It is not only here in Jena that the format is so popular for good reason.
