How do you recognize sepsis (blood poisoning) and why do you need to act quickly?

Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that can occur as a complication of any infection and leads to death if left untreated. Many patients require intensive medical treatment. The causes of sepsis are varied and the symptoms are often unspecific. Mainly bacteria, but also viruses and fungi can be the cause of an infection that leads to sepsis. How to recognize the onset of sepsis, how to react to it and the challenges of treatment - we would like to introduce you to them.

In the battle for the title of Dr. Microbe, our younger visitors can hunt for dangerous microbes and put their skills to the test. Great prizes await the winners.

Doctors and scientists from various disciplines have been working together at the Center for Sepsis Control and Care (CSCC) for many years. They are researching ways to prevent sepsis, recognize it more quickly and treat it optimally. The team at the office is looking forward to your visit.
