On November 20, 2026, the Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences Jena will open its doors for a special occasion: We cordially invite you to the opening event of the 10th Long Night of Science in Jena.
Jena celebrates science and the people who make it possible. On this evening, research comes to life: tangible, fascinating, and right before our eyes. We celebrate ideas, discoveries, and encounters, and look ahead together to what lies before us.
Because science connects us. It inspires us. It moves us forward.
The year 2026 marks a double anniversary: the 35th anniversary of the Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences Jena coincides with the 10th Long Night of Science. Since 2005, the Long Night of Science in Jena has been bringing science to the city and bringing the city together with science.
So on this evening, we’ll also share a piece of history: the story of a city shaped by science, and the story of a university that has been creating knowledge, inspiring people, and shaping the future for 35 years.
