Researching the immune system.

Every day, our immune system works to protect our bodies from a wide variety of pathogens (viruses, bacteria, fungi, and many others) and to regulate how we respond to them. The immune system also plays a crucial role in cancer and autoimmune diseases.

Together with the team from the Associate Professorship for Sports Medicine and Health Promotion at FSU, we invite people of all ages to explore the immune system in a fun and interactive way. Here, you can see individual immune cells, learn about the craft of research, put yourself in the shoes of a pathogen, and understand the impact of exercise, nutrition, and sleep on the immune system.
