What exactly does general practice involve – and why is the GP’s surgery the first port of call for many people when they need medical advice?
In our interactive hands-on tour, you’ll experience a day at a GP practice – not as a patient, but as a doctor. At various stations, you’ll take on typical GP tasks: you’ll decide where patients with their symptoms should be referred, take blood pressure readings, test your knowledge of antibiotics, and experience the challenges of day-to-day practice and patient care. At the end, you’ll receive an ‘Explorer’s Certificate’ – including a souvenir photo if you’d like.
