Thermal imaging cameras measure how temperatures are distributed across surfaces in the infrared spectrum. With crystal-clear images, these cameras detect energy leaks and overheating in production processes. In the event of a fire, mobile thermal imaging cameras also allow firefighters and emergency responders to maintain a clear overview at all times: Even in complete darkness and thick smoke, infrared technology still provides clear images of the scene, enabling them to orient themselves and locate hidden pockets of embers. Visual infrared cameras also assist in the search for missing persons. The goal is to produce an image with as much contrast as possible to clearly identify structures.
