Lasers can do more than you think! Experience hands-on science and find out what our lasers and those mysterious Xbox controllers are all about.

During the Long Night of Science, you can learn more about lasers at our booth. How do our high-power lasers actually work, and why are there so many Xbox controllers lying around here?

And did you know that without lasers like the ones we build, you wouldn’t be able to use your cell phone? That’s because lasers are needed to manufacture the chips in your cell phone.

You’ll learn this and much more at our booth. Dive into the fascinating world of laser technology and discover all the things lasers can do.

Lasers are truly exciting, and that’s exactly what we want to show and explain to you at our booth at the ifw during the Long Night of Science.

We’re shining a light on Göschwitz!

If you visit at least 6 of the 14 participating institutes and companies there and collect a stamp from each one, you’ll receive a little surprise at the end of your discovery tour—including at our booth, of course!

Here’s what you need to know about the stamp rally in Göschwitz:

  • Participation is voluntary and free of charge.
  • The little surprise is available only on November 20 upon presentation of your stamp card (while supplies last).
  • No cash alternative available.
