Dogs of the World

Dogs have extraordinary abilities – they are able to communicate and work well with us, and form close bonds with us. We investigate these abilities at the Jena Dog Studies Centre. This talk focuses on a major study for which we travelled around the world to investigate the dog-human relationship in non-Western societies as well. We will show how dogs are kept and treated in non-Western societies and to what extent their abilities and their bond with humans are universal.
