You’ll explore Leuchtenburg Castle as an interactive holographic 3D model and learn how these applications work—and how they could be used in science and culture in the future.
With VR goggles, you’ll immerse yourself in virtual environments like the Old Synagogue in Erfurt. You can look around digital spaces, view objects from different perspectives, and interact with the virtual environment yourself.
In the process, you’ll learn more about the digitization and visualization of cultural heritage. Another highlight is the 4D Browser and 4D City applications, which take you on a virtual journey through time in the city. The 4D Browser combines digital 3D city models with historical photographs and a temporal dimension, making changes to the cityscape traceable. 4D City can be used on mobile devices and, among other things, offers virtual city tours of Jena, where you can discover how places have changed over time.
