Even today, bonding is still relevant and is frequently used in industry. At the ifw Jena, we study various adhesives and how a wide variety of materials—such as glass, metal, and ceramics—can best be bonded together. Together with our scientists, you can try out for yourselves here just what can be bonded.
After you’ve cut out the individual wooden pieces with a laser, you’ll glue them together with the right adhesive to make small toys. Of course, you can take your adhesive research projects home with you afterward.
