Insights into the diagnosis of pathogens

At the information stand, microscopes containing various infectious agents will be available, and other interesting material on parasites will be on display. Guided tours of the Institute of Medical Microbiology’s laboratory will offer a brief insight into the processes involved in bacteriological diagnosis. These will take a closer look at, for example, the culturing of bacteria from patient samples, the identification of multi-drug-resistant pathogens and the diagnosis of sepsis.
