Bones, cartilage, ligaments, tendons, and muscles make up the musculoskeletal system, which provides the body with stability and enables movement.
We offer hands-on activities on the topic of the musculoskeletal system for all ages: Histology—A Splendor of Colors in the Microcosm. What do bones, cartilage, and tendons look like under a microscope? Find out! Wafer-thin specimens will be stained in vibrant colors—by you! You’ll also have the chance to test your knowledge of anatomy and bone health. In addition, we’ll showcase implants used in modern surgery to stabilize fractures and as joint replacements.
