A passion for Jena: From donor to recipient – tracing the blood’s journey
Every blood donation counts. That’s because the hospital needs more than a hundred blood products every day. Yet only three per cent of the population donate blood regularly. That’s why we’re following the blood’s journey and, together, shedding light on the path it takes from donor to recipient. During the guided tour of the blood donation facilities, we’ll not only visit the area where blood products are produced but also the blood bank. We’ll explain how the donation process works and what to bear in mind when donating.
We’ll be on hand at an information stand to answer any questions you may have about blood donation and processing. The tours take place regularly between 6.00 pm and 10.00 pm. No booking is required.
