At the UKJ, we are concerned not only with the health of our patients, but also with the welfare of the animals used in our experimental research

This is because, even today, medical progress cannot be achieved through alternative models to animal testing alone. The use of laboratory animals is still necessary in this context. Here at the Animal Welfare Unit, we advise our researchers on how to further reduce the number of animals used or the stress placed on them, and on which alternatives to animal testing are available. Visit us at our stand and find out more about our work for the welfare of our laboratory animals.

Further information can be found on the website of the UKJ’s Animal Welfare Unit
