We provide fascinating insights into the latest research in pharmaceutical technology and show how innovative materials and manufacturing processes are helping to shape the medicine of tomorrow.

The development and manufacture of modern drug formulations are key components of medical progress. They can be classified into liquid, semisolid, and solid forms and play a vital role in ensuring a safe and effective supply of medicines. At our hands-on stations, we present experiments and exhibits that vividly illustrate this application-oriented research. Join in and determine the flow properties of powders and granules for yourself, then evaluate them. The optimal powder mixture is then used to manufacture tablets, allowing you to follow the entire process from conception and powder characterization through to tableting.

A special highlight: Experience the electrospinning process and learn how the natural material silk is being used to create innovative solutions for the medicine of the future. We’ll introduce the modern manufacturing process of electrospinning and provide insights into the fascinating world of novel silk materials. Discover silk in its many forms—from silk cocoons to liquid silk, gels, and nanoparticles for medical applications.

For kids: Paint your own silk cocoon and take it home as a souvenir!
