Precision Engineering—Science's Helper: Game Dice

Teaching and research require specialized equipment and components that are not commercially available. In close collaboration between scientists and engineers, such specialized designs are developed and manufactured in the workshops of the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy.

During demonstration sessions, dice are made and given away, primarily to children. The production of these simple workpieces is intended to give visitors a clear understanding of the exciting process of machining with computer-controlled machines.
