The Phyletic Museum will be open throughout the entire Long Night of Science. At various interactive booths, we’ll showcase current research projects. Visitors can move freely through the exhibition with wristbands and engage in conversation with staff from the museum and the Institute of Zoology and Evolutionary Research.
Where is diversity hidden? In the dark, for example. In keeping with the Long Night of Science, we’re shining a spotlight on nocturnal animals. To that end, we’re showcasing exclusive items from the collection and explaining how a scientific collection is used for research. We’ll also introduce the LEPMON project, which uses citizen science and AI to document the diversity of moths. Plus, we’ll highlight other exciting research that brings the hidden to light. The booths are kid-friendly and interactive, so there are things to touch, try out, and discover. We look forward to your visit!
