We are building a laser and using it to generate light that can be used to answer questions in biological research.

A laser produces light with precisely defined properties. Whether in communications, medicine, or research, lasers have become indispensable in today’s technology and enable groundbreaking discoveries. We’ll build our own laser and learn how it works. We’ll also explore, through exciting hands-on experiments, how lasers are used in modern biological and medical research.

We’re celebrating science!
