Discover how modern cancer research identifies genetic changes in leukaemia cells, thereby laying the foundations for precise diagnosis and treatment.

At our information stand, you can find out how cancer cells are examined in the laboratory and what role genetic changes play in the development and treatment of cancer, including mutation analyses used to specifically detect changes in the genome. We’ll demonstrate how modern molecular analyses are used to better understand leukaemia and to support personalised treatment decisions. You’ll gain fascinating insights into the latest research and diagnostic methods.
Visitors can look through a microscope for themselves and try their hand at pipetting in the laboratory.

Further information can be found on the website of the Department of Internal Medicine II.
