Longevity: between research and promise

What is ageing – and can it be influenced?

Why do we grow old? Can we slow down the ageing process – and is there any truth to the promise of a longer, healthier life?

Prof. Christoph Englert from the Leibniz Institute for Ageing Research (FLI) and Prof. Dr Ulrike Kaiser from Friedrich Schiller University Jena examine ageing from genetic and theological perspectives. Together, they discuss scientific findings, the possibilities and limitations of longevity research, and the question of what makes a long life worth living.

The panel discussion will be moderated by a journalist from MDR.

Curious? Question the promises of the longevity movement and join the discussion!
What opportunities does research offer – and where are its limits? Your questions and thoughts are welcome.

The event will be held in German.
