What can a laser cut?

In our laser laboratories, our scientists investigate how laser beams can be used for various tasks. In our research projects, we are working to identify the optimal settings for different lasers in order to process glass, ceramics, wood, plastic or steel as effectively as possible.

During the Long Night of Science, you can watch live as our largest laser beam system is put to work. We’ll be cutting wood with you to create craft templates, which you can then take home with you. The laser beam works with high precision, fully automatically and without burning the wood. Do you dare to press the start button for the next task?
