When it sparkles and shines – experience surface technology

PCO® – Surface finishing on a pencil sharpener
Using aluminium pencil sharpeners, we demonstrate the PCO® process and clearly show how aluminium surfaces can be specifically treated and altered. You are then welcome to take the treated pencil sharpener home with you as a souvenir.

Plasma up close – Introduction to the kINPen®
Experience atmospheric-pressure plasma at close quarters. We’ll demonstrate the kINPen® and show how the cold plasma interacts with the skin.

Surfaces to touch and examine
At our hands-on station, you’ll find various sol-gel exhibits, illustrative adhesion experiments and fascinating insights into surfaces using digital microscopy with the Dino-Lite.

If you visit at least 5 of the 14 participating institutes and companies and collect a stamp from each one, you’ll receive a small gift at the end of the discovery tour – including from us!
