DNA—that slimy noodle inside our cells. Here, you’ll learn how to extract DNA from its hiding place in the cells using simple household items. DNA contains the blueprint for life and is safely stored in the cell nucleus. With just a few household chemicals, you can extract the DNA from cells and make it visible—even roll it up like a noodle. What exactly is the blueprint of life made of? And what does the Cas9 gene scissors do with it?
