Jena keeps the Orion spacecraft on course!
It has been over half a century since humans last visited the Moon. Artemis II has changed that! The crew traveled farther from Earth and the Moon than anyone before them.
To ensure they don’t veer off course, technology from Thuringia is on board the Orion spacecraft: the ASTRO APS star sensor from Jena-Optronik.
"Hello Moon!" Presentations on NASA’s Artemis mission and how our sensors are guiding the Orion spacecraft safely to the Moon and back to Earth.
The first presentation begins at 6:30 p.m., with subsequent presentations every 45 minutes.
