‘Data extraction’ – Collecting and analysing medical data
Careful analysis of medical data offers the opportunity to improve patient care and gain new insights. But achieving this requires the right equipment: sensors that convert bodily processes into numerical data, careful data management, and precautions to ensure that the interpretation of the data does not misrepresent the actual facts. The exhibition by the Institute for Medical Statistics, Informatics and Data Sciences highlights – in a partly playful way – the steps involved in the successful use of medical data.
