Use of Robots in Manufacturing to Reduce the Workload on Humans

To measure the diameter of glass rods with ultra-high precision, Grintech GmbH uses a fully automated measuring station equipped with a robotic arm. All visitors are invited to watch the robot and see for themselves how the glass rods are measured with nanometer precision and then sorted into defined diameter categories. Anyone who’s up for the challenge is welcome to try measuring a glass rod by hand, as was customary in the past.
