Introducing MikroSafari!

MikroSafari is a citizen science project in which allotment gardeners, in collaboration with scientists, are gaining new insights into the species composition of arthropods in allotment gardens. Of particular interest is how garden management affects these populations, especially in light of climate change and increasing urbanization. 

But how exactly does it work?
Here you can learn all about the project, ask questions, and see what’s happening in the gardens. Our goal is to include as many different gardens as possible! Whether your garden is overgrown or carefully landscaped, everyone is welcome to join in.
